AP Berkeley has established a dedicated ADR Group, providing comprehensive services for all aspects of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Members of the group are highly skilled in mediation, arbitration, and adjudication.

Our members can serve as mediators or provide counsel to parties involved in mediation.

For low to medium value cases, our team of mediators is committed to promoting cost-effective access to resolution through “on the papers” or virtual “face-to-face” services. Additionally, our ADR service includes resolution of Stage 3s, Small Claim, and Fast Track matters at a fixed fee.

1. Claim against a water company regarding ownership and responsibility for a water pipe. Result: Partial success, with a section of the pipe deemed a public water mains and the remainder a private supply pipe.

3. Complaint against the Solicitors Regulation Authority regarding regulatory action. Result: Unsuccessful claim, as the Authority’s decision was appropriately justified.

8. Claim against a property company for damage to possessions during work. Result: Successful claim, leading to financial compensation.

9. Claim by a rail company against a water company for leak-related charges. Result: Unsuccessful claim due to lack of evidence supporting the water company’s awareness of the leak.

10. Claim against a property company for losses due to completion delays. Result: Unsuccessful claim due to inadequate causal connection between losses and company failings.
